Susan Romaine

Biography

Susan, who moved to Delray Beach from Charleston SC in 2014, has succeeded in both the world of business and the world of art.  In finance, she was responsible for the placement of new retirement fund investment assets and the management of existing client relationships, as well as the development and introduction of pooled investment funds, bringing in over a half billion dollars in new assets under management from corporate retirement and municipal bond issuers.  During this time she became an avid collector of fine art produced by emerging and mid-career artists.

Susan began her professional art career in 2000 and has enjoyed considerable success with over 400 of her works added to private, corporate and Museum collections.

In 2003, she was named artist in residence at Charleston’s Gibbes Museum and accepted through a jury process as a member of Oil Painters of America.  A book of her paintings and photography by Jack Alterman, “Cornices of Charleston”, was published in 2005.

Her love of art led her to partner with Jim Blumenfeld, opening the Meridian Art Experience (The mAe Gallery, Art services and Consultation) in Delray Beach.  Susan is also represented by galleries in Jupiter Florida and Santa Fe New Mexico.
